About the Whistler Writers’ blog

Producers of the Whistler Readers and Writers Festival (in addition to Rolled into Town and Broke My Wheels, Literary Leanings, the Collective Novel Experiment and a host of other geeking-out-together-on-words events), the Vicious Circle, as Whistler Writers Group is known, was founded in 2001 to provide a forum for local writers to develop their craft and connect with like-minded literati.

The 2011 Whistler Readers and Writers Festival will take place October 14-16. Twenty guest authors including Sarah Selecky, Miriam Toews and Wayne Johnston will converge on Whistler for the tenth Festival. They will trash-talk, chit-chat, workshop and jam their way through 15 different sessions geared towards getting behind, not just the book-covers, but the brains of best-loved books, lighting the fire under aspiring writers’ butts and fuelling the stoke of participants’ creative practice.
